Soul of the Aspects Now Available!

Soul of the Aspects has landed! We all knew it would be from the PetStore, but it was just a matter of when heh. Like the other store bought pets, it costs $10, is BoP, and all current and future toons will receive it (only applies to one license).

To celebrate its release, MMO-Champion is giving away 20 of these lovely and energetic golden dragonlings. Entering is easy, just comment on their post stating if you'd like one for the NA or EU region.


This pet is extremely lively! I've found it particularly enjoyable standing right on top of it so when it does its swirling animation, it literally spins around my character. Gorgeous!

Soul of the Aspects Coming Soon?

With the release of the mount, Heart of the Aspects, in the Blizzard Store, I'm eager and anxious to see if the Soul of the Aspects will come from the PetStore as well. They're both very similar in icon and model style (of course one being much larger than the other and well... a mount lol), so it would only make sense to pair them together in the store.

Unlike the Guardian Cub which had two separate item IDs since it was specially created with a cooldown so it could be traded/sold in-game, the Soul of the Aspects doesn't appear to have alternative IDs, so my guess is that it will be a straight forward BoP PetStore companion that will be mailed to all current and future toons on a single account.

We'll have to wait and see in the coming weeks if this pet will really be purchasable from the PetStore or not. If not, I'm at a loss of where it will come from!

Soul of the Aspects Updated Animations

MMO-Champion has a new video preview of the Soul of the Aspects (datamined from the 4.3 PTR but wasn't released onto live servers... yet?).

At first I thought it was just the same animation as the Celestial Dragon companion. There are definitely some similarities (such as the star formation it outlines), but to my surprise the Soul of the Aspect has some other pretty cool animations. :D

There's still no information on how this pet will be obtained but hopefully some details will come soon!

4.3 PTR - New Pet

MMO-Champion is reporting another new pet that's been datamined from the latest PTR build. Yes! Another possible new pet. :D Soul of the Aspects!

Could this be the companion who's model was datamined by Wowhead not too long ago (Chromatic Dragon Pet)? Perhaps the new rogue legendary weapon guild achievement reward? From the looks of the pet's item icon, it does strike me as similar to that of the Chromatic Dragon Pet model.

Unlike Lil' Tarecgosa, though, this companion is BoP and not Bind on B-net account. So maybe it's not the next "legendary" pet.

Whatever this vanity pet might be, it sounds pretty epic. *Insert giant echo'ing voice* SOUL of the ASPECTS. It just sounds awesome lol.

I've added it to the list of possible new pets in 4.3, and hopefully we'll see a preview of this companion soon!
