Legion Class-Exclusive Pets

In WoD there were certain garrison buildings pet collectors needed/wanted to build in order to collect specific pets. Legion is similar in that you'll need/want to meet specific criteria, but instead of garrison buildings, collectors will need to level characters of specific classes.

There will be 4 pets that are exclusive to 3 classes. These pets are BoP and cannot be caged. The only way to obtain these pets is to level certain classes to at least level 105. Thankfully we won't have to level all of these characters to max just for the pets ;P

Here are the classes collectors will need (and the pets associated with them).

  • Demon Hunter OR Warlock - need to be level 105, with Twisting Nether as the Tier 2 Order Hall Advancement talent

    (Hateful Eye, not 100% droprate)

  • Shaman - only need to unlock the Order Hall up to the quest where you choose which zone to begin questing in.

(Snowfang, battle NPC of same name to earn the pet)

I want to make it clear that one pet can come from both the DH or Warlock Order Hall. We won't need to play both classes to collect the Hateful Eye. If you'd like to level both classes, go for it! If not and you'd prefer to play just one or the other, that's ok too - you'll still have a chance at the pet.

And I do mean 'chance' for both Druid and DH/Warlock pets. These class-exclusive companions are not 100% guaranteed. With persistence, yes, we'll eventually collect both, but it's not like Snowfang which is pretty much guaranteed once you complete the Shaman Order Hall initial quest line.

For both Druid and DH/Warlock, at level 105 you'll be allowed to pick a tier 2 Order Hall 'talent' from a tree of options. Choosing the one listed above will grant you access to special interactions/events and the pets have a chance to drop from those.

For the Shaman pet, simply unlock the Order Hall (should occur before you even ding level 101) and then find Snowfang the NPC (he'll be sitting near his mom). Defeat him in a pet battle and he's yours to keep! :)

  1. I dislike this a lot. I have quite a few characters currently at max level but none of them are druid, shaman or warlock.
