TBC Raid Pets Doing Neat Stuff

I didn't notice it before, but I just found out that all of the Burning Crusade raid dropped pets have unique animations/interactions! *squee* I'm a huge sucker for details like that. :)

So what does each pet do? Descriptions and screenshots after the break!

Lil' Bad Wolf

Sits and sleeps. Not sure if it's dependent on player state, but for reference, he sat when I was sitting and he lay down when I was laying down. :)

Fiendish Imp

Creates a neat red portal when summoned. Every now and then, instead of summoning a white imp, Kil'rek (from the Illhoof encounter) will jump out of the portal and follow you instead!

Netherspace Abyssal

Hellfires when idle.

Phoenix Hawk Hatchling

Spins around while breathing fire.

Lesser Voidcaller

Summons a Wandering Spirit who, appropriately, wanders around. :P

Tainted Waveling

Will gain the buff "Purified" and turn blue for a short period of time.

Farts a bubble and then pops it (same as its larger counterpart's animation).

Coilfang Stalker

Emits a small aoe and causes nearby critters to run in fear.

Summons a tornado (cows and farmhouse included!) that also picks him up.

There were two pets that didn't really have any animation (that I noticed). The Menagerie Custodian doesn't do anything, but he does quote the Curator from time to time. And the Pocket Reaver didn't do anything or say anything at all, other than the usual motorcycle revving gesture. If you've found any unique animations for these two, please let me know! I'd love to see them for myself :)

  1. This is awesome!
Another thing i have noticed: when leveling, the unborn valkyr produces a blue light, instead of the normal color for leveling pets. Im not sure about it, maybe u can confirm .

    1. @Anonymous: Unfortunately, I've already leveled up my Unborn Val'kyr to 25, so I wouldn't be able to test this out.

Could you perhaps describe in more detail the "blue light" she emits? Is this only when she "levels up"?

    2. I was talking about the beam emited when she levels up, it looked blue to me.

    3. It looks blue to me as well, rather than the normal yellowish/gold color

  2. Those are great! I've collected half of these so far and have seen the ones you've mentioned. I look forward to seeing the rest soon.

    1. @Cymre: I'm so very glad that developers added in new and unique animations for pets! The little details make these pets so endearing. :)

  3. I've only been lucky enough to get two, but will be checking their animations as soon as I finish here. Thank you for sharing.

**also - long time lurker, love your site.

    1. @Chelley: Good luck with the rest! Hope you collect them soon. :)
