As Mufasa Quint gazed out over the land, he she turned to Simba the Cinder Kitten and explained, "Look. Everything the light touches is our kingdom."

To which Simba the Cinder Kitten replied, "Wow."

Mufasa Quint nodded solemnly. "A king's queen's time as ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day, Simba Cinder Kitten, the sun will set on my time here, and will rise with you as the new king queen."

"And this'll all be mine?" asked Simba the Cinder Kitten in amazement.

"Everything."

Simba The Cinder Kitten gazed out over the valley and whispered breathlessly, "Everything the light touches... "

Cinder Kitten For Charity

Much like the fundraiser for the victims of the tsunami that struck Japan, Blizzard will be doing the same for the victims of Sandy.

This time around, 100% of the profits from Cinder Kitten (not yet released) will go to the Red Cross in an effort to help aid those that suffered loss from the storm.

Support the Red Cross’s Superstorm Sandy Response relief efforts and adopt a Cinder Kitten when this fiery feline arrives in the Blizzard Store later this year. Your support will enable the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, emotional support, and other assistance to survivors of disasters like Superstorm Sandy with 100% of the $10 USD adoption fee during this charity drive going toward this worthy cause.

Like with previous fundraising items, it's likely that there will be a deadline to have your purchase count towards the donation to the Red Cross. After a specified date, the proceeds will then go back to Blizzard. We'll have to wait to hear more details.

Again, this pet has NOT been released yet. This is just an announcement providing a preview on how the donations will work. More information on when the Cinder Kitten will be available will be coming in the near future.

I can't wait to adopt this bundle of fiery fluff AND help out with the relief efforts. :)

5.1 PTR Pet Abilities Preview

I was finally able to log onto the PTR, but using old character copies. This means that I don't have access to any of the new pets, and my Pet Battling progress is back to square one.

It wasn't a complete waste of time, though. I managed to preview the possible battle abilities for the new pets. Here they are, from lowest level spell to highest level (2, 4, 10, 15, 20, 25). Remember that this is the PTR, so all of this is subject to change.

5.1 Pets - How to Get Them

Wowhead found out where the new 5.1 pets come from:

- Cinder Kitten: Blizzard PetStore, BoP

- Darkmoon Hatchling: Darkmoon Faire pet vender (Lhara) for 90 DMF tickets, BoU

- Darkmoon Eye: Possible drop from the new DMF Tamer daily reward (Darkmoon Pet Supplies), BoU

- Darkmoon Glowfly: Capturable wild pet from the Darkmoon Island.

- Imperial Moth and Imperial Silkworm: Possible drops while doing the Imperial Silk transmute (Tailoring) in the Silken Fields, BoU.

Additionally, game designer Jonathan LeCraft (aka @TheCrafticus) Tweeted an image showing a preview of the possible Tailoring drops.

PLUS, Dave Maldonado (@Dave_Maldo), another game designer, also Tweeted a preview of the Darkmoon Eye!

I feel so spoiled with all of these previews and teasers! I'm not used to having so much companion information readily available like this lol.

Anyway, looks like at least one pet from the DMF will be purchasable. There's still time to earn tickets since the faire is still open, so get your dailies and quests turned in ASAP!

Players that have Tailoring might want to max out the profession if they haven't already. I'm so please that there's another profession pet. Dare I hope that every profession will receive the same love and attention? Of course my hope would also include that all profession companions are BoU and not BoP. Would that be asking for too much? :P
